Optima Lime Survey Winner announced

The winner of the 2008 Optima Lime Survey has been drawn and the lucky winner is Mr. Adrian Perks of Esperance.

Mr Perks has won $1,000 of Optima & WACA corporate hospitality this season.

Thanks must go to those customers who took the time to complete the survey. Over 150 people filled in the lime survey this year and the information they have provided to us will be analysed so we can use that information to provide a better service to our customers.

SOIL TESTING

Whilst Optima Agriculture does not get directly involved in soil and plant testing, we highly recommend the services of testing laboratories such as APAL to help you in determining the soil and plant health programs that best suit your growing needs.

Current soil testing is based upon the Albrecht and Reams analysis. This combination has proven a very efficient means to determine sufficiency, deficiency and efficiency of fertility management.

Soil testing alone however does not provide all the necessary information for a growing crop.

Plant and animal management requires better crop progress analysis to add to in-field biological soil benchmarking.

Along with the Albrecht and Reams soil testing, new tissue and sap testing methods will promote the understanding of ongoing plant biological processes needed to improve soil and optimise plant production.
